Edited dashboard section versions can now be viewed and restored with version history, just like with Reports! This is available across all subscription levels.
In the upper right of the dashboard editor, click the rewind icon to expand a list of dashboard versions. Click through to preview each version until you find the right one, then click the ellipsis menu, and lastly, click Restore This Version.

Yes, please! This happened to me today, no confirmation, just gone.
When this type of thing happens with Salesforce, all items go to a Recycle Bin and can be restored for up to 30 days. This would be incredibly helpful here too.
