I think the HOW of how this gets implemented i extremely important. Let's face it, 2FA via mobile/SMS codes is proven insecure. I think the BEST possible, innovative, implementation of this would be to develop 2FA against the new PassKey system that vendors like Google and Microsoft have been implementing. This is a much needed feature of the platform. There should be the ability for admin, staff, and user accounts to enable 2FA. It should also be an enforceable admin feature.
